DIY Wedding Photo Booth Ideas
I want to share with you some fun do it yourself wedding photo booth ideas. In addition, I’ll show you what you can get with a professional. Whether you are trying to save money or just want to add a personal touch to your photo booth space, doing your own decore can be a fun way to be creative at your wedding. Lets start by looking at some very basic 1 hour projects and move our way through some more complicated but beautiful projects.
Easy photo booth idea you can set up yourself
This photo booth space is easy to set up. Just a home made backdrop with a couple of tables for props. you can get the photo booth props on Amazon for less that $100 dollars. You will still need lights, camera and photo printer which you can still hire a pro for. But you would not get a backdrop like this from a pro. A good reason to DIY this easy photo booth back drop.
Simple diy wedding photo booth design for outdoors
Simple photo booth backdrop you can make yourself in about an hour. This idea is great for outdoors if you are having a reception during daytime hours. keep in mind this will be difficult to light but not impossible if your reception lasts into the night time. You would need separate lighting for the foreground picture frame and the flowers in the background.
This mock polaroid frame is just cut out of poster board and hung from a tree. Easy and cute way to take some fun daytime pics for your guests.
DIY photo booth space with custom odered backdrop
This diy photo booth space has a lot of parts to it that make it feel special and complete. The whole color theme is balanced and flows together nicely. You can buy all of the peices on Amazon or etsy and order the custom back drop on line as well. Keep in mind that you will need about 3 weeks to recieve your backdrop. This whole set up costs about $500. Again you will need lighting as it gets darker.
Professional photo booth set up for a wedding
This is a more professional photo booth set up. You have pipe and drape with gold sequins. The camera and tablet are set up front and center with a beauty dish light. This will get better images just because of the light set up. Its still simple and dosent take up too much room in your venue. One benefit of this open style of booth is that you can fit a lot of friends and family into the picture frame.
Professional Inflateable Photobooth for Weddings
This is not a diy photobooth. This is an example of a full photo booth set up complete with red ropes and room for 10 people inside the room itself. This will cost $1000 or more to rent but if you want to have a big wedding, you should have a big photo booth to match. I would say the total cost of equipment is near $8000, not including the van or staff.
This would take about 2 hours to set up y a pro who has done it many times. Worth the money? You tell me in the comments below.
